Capacity building
This area is about people and systems: training coaches and the people who train coaches, sharing high-performance know-how, strengthening Para sport, and widening pathways for young athletes. It is the broadest of the five areas.

What this means for community organisations.
- Watch for coach-education and exchange opportunities that are open to community-level coaches. National and state sporting bodies are usually the first point of contact.
- Clubs that want to welcome Para athletes can start with inclusive coaching, accessible facilities and links to their national Para body for classification.
- Scholarships for young Indian athletes are funded by the Government of India. Follow official announcements for eligibility: PlayForward does not run or assess them.
This is PlayForward’s practical guidance, not official advice. Check eligibility with the responsible body.
